So I was super lazy today. All I wanted to eat were Pigs in a Blanket. Super healthy, I know. I found out a few months ago, that some people don’t know what Pigs in a Blanket are!
My husband once made “Pigs in a Blanket”, he came into our room with a hotdog wrapped in a tortilla. This my friends is not a Pig in a Blanket. This is a monstrosity. I also found out that night that you don’t eat ketchup with hotdogs. According to The National Hotdog Association (which is a thing) if you are over 18 you should never eat ketchup with hotdogs because that if for children. Which blows my mind! I’ve always had ketchup with my hotdogs!
Anyway. Let’s make some piggies.
First, find yourself some buiscuts. Then roll them puppies out.
I like to add some cheese to my blankets, because why the hell not!
Now roll em up!
Look at dem doggies. Now, cook them to the directions on the buiscuts. But usually if you cook them at 400° for 10-12 minutes.
Lovely! Top with whatever you want!
Now, while all this was going on, I was trying to get myself a smoothie going. I went to attach it to my blender, and the blade is attached to the pitcher. Awesome. So I tried another blender thing. No such luck. Well great. But I’m going to have my smoothie dammit. So I decided to thaw it out and throw it in the blender anyway.
Refraction is cool.
So I pop it in the blender. Stinky did not like it. I never thought I’d see a bottom lip out that far! She was not a happy camper! Unfortunately for her, the blender didn’t blend anything. Great. So I had to throw it in another blendy thing, and do it all over again! There wasn’t enough room for a ton of milk, so it was super thick. After much trial and error. I had a smoothie!
I was so ready for this smoothie. I took a big sip…And it was so freaking bitter. I was devastated. I don’t know if it was the oranges, or the pineapple or what. But it was gross.
Well, at least I tried!
Also, tonight was date night. So no dinner recipe! I highly recommend Walkabout Wednesday at Outback, it was amazing.
