Time for another family favorite! It’s a cool mom spin on a classic dish that is a favorite of mine. It’s one of the more time consuming dishes, but worth the wait!
Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
Here’s what you’re gonna need
- One Chicken breast
- Ham cubes
- 1c Milk
- 4oz Cream Cheese
- 8 slices of Swiss Cheese
- Penne Pasta
- Bread Crumbs
Nothing too crazy! This makes enough for about 4, and my husband ate his lunches worth tonight! So you know it’s good!
Grab your chicky, and if it’s not cooked already, throw it in the oven at 450° for 15 mins and get it cooked.
Then let it rest! Letting it rest for at least 5 mins helps keep it juicy!
While that’s in the oven, throw some pasta in a pot and get it boiling, enough for 4 servings.
While that’s going, combine the milk/ cream cheese/ and swiss until smooth and thick.
Then add in the ham chunks, cooked pasta, and shredded chicken.
Then pour half into a baking pan, layer on some swiss, add the rest of the mix and top with bread crumbs!
Since it’s all cooked already, all you need to do is broil it until the bread crumbs are browned! And that’s it!
It’s such a nice and easy meal, and super yummy!
