Who’s ready for another easy recipe?
As you guys may have noticed, when I cook, I cook for two. This was a really hard habit to break! I’m the oldest of 9, and I was used to cooking for 12+ a day. When my husband and I first got married, we had a TON of leftovers. It seriously took me a year to cook for 2-4, instead of 10-12. I was so used to cooking a whole box of pasta at a time, it took awhile to break that habit of just throwing it all in there! Now I’ve learned to eyeball it, and make enough for just us, or just us and leftovers for one lunch. So without further Ado, our next crock pot recipe!
Beef and Bacon Mash
- Beef tips/strips
- 2 slices of bacon
- 1 can of cream of mushroom
- 6 mushrooms
- 1/2 a packet of Onion dip mix
Yup. That’s it! I highly recommend getting crock pot liners, they are a huge time saver for this already quick meal.
First, take the cream of mushroom and mix it with the onion dip mix. I had a half a packet from another recipe I used it in. Never throw those things out!
Throw in the cooked bacon and the mushrooms, and mix together.
Lay the meat in the bottom of the crock pot, raw. Then smother it in the mixture.
Cook on low for 8 hours, and enjoy the lovely smells! I usually make mashed potatoes to go with it.
Once your time is up, scoop it on top of the mashed potatoes and enjoy!
And you’re done! Another big hit with the hubby!
